My brother just got married. In winter. On January 1st. Rehearsal dinner on NYE. If he wasn't my brother...
Now, what does one wear to a freezing cold winter wedding on a holiday? I normally shy away from anything black against my face (black rapunzel hair + black clothes = terrible selfies) but changed my mind for this uber special occasion. I chose an exaggerated all over silver sequin black dress from Alice + Olivia. Best part of this glamorous frock? SLEEVES. Baby, it's cold outside.
Anything for this guy. #brother
Not just your average LBD. This one sparkles and shines!
Ladies, if you are wearing an open toe shoe for the occasion, bare leg it. Not even a sandalfoot stocking can save you here. A friend of mine told me about a heated lotion that bikers use on their legs...
I could have danced for hours in these amazingly comfortable Joie gunmetal heels. I loved the combination of snake skin paired with the sequined silk.
Hairstylist I am not. I barely have time to run a brush through this mane. I'm lucky if I get to wash my hair a few times a week uninterrupted. But I decided to give it the ole college try and curl my own hair for the wedding. THAT was an experience I will never forget! (Note to self: maybe try practicing before the actual event next time.)

The wedding ended up being a huge success. I was beyond happy to welcome a new sister into my life. Her family ROCKED and seemed to love wine more than I do. (I know. Shocker.) May their lives be full of happiness and love! Mazel tov!
Finished product. Voila!
Mi Familia!
Cheers to the happy couple! #lifeisgong
