Sitting on Amtrak, heading to The Big Apple for a super quick summer buying trip for Clover (www.shopclover.com) and wishing it was concert season. There is something about a live music show that really awakens your inner sleeping beauty.
With extended concert festivals such as Coachella in California (OMG. Guns N' Roses 2016. Swoon.), SXSW in Austin and all the other countless music cruises/shows that are available, music has become more than just a plain tank top and mom jeans. It has evolved into a more fashion friendly environment. People (myself included) are planning their ensembles in advance and dressing to impress. Time to break out your fedoras, denim cut-offs and gauzy hippy inspired tops! We put in a lot of effort to look like we just woke up. And I love it!
I scored big at The Free People store yesterday dreaming of future music events to be attended in 2016.
When I think of a live concert, the three B's instantly come into mind. Beer. Buddies. Bands. Oh, and if you're lucky. Backstage.
M3 2014. Concerts are getting fancy. Wine is now an option!
Another concert another hat. #drjohn #centralpark
Chris Cornell acoustic. Aztec prints anyone?
Hookers and Blow (superband) with famed comedian/vh1 host Don Jamieson. Leather and sequins meets Metal. No black tee shirt for this show!
Tesla and Def Leppard. Hair metal is still tee shirt appropriate. Mullets optional.
Just purchased tickets for a two day festival in April and am counting down the days. Which band is going to rock out the hardest? How good are our seats? And more importantly, what am I going to wear!
Even my 5 year old daughter is a music lover now. Best concert buddy ever! Minus the beer...
Devil horns and noise reducing headphones. Two peas in a pod for a lil rocker.
Embroidered gauze shirt from Scoop NYC. Check. Adorable music lover in a tie dyed Grateful Dead tee shirt. Check.
Let's hope that 2016 is a ROCKIN' one. I can't wait to see what life brings this year. Cheers to good times. Good music. Good memories.
